Trades House Award
Following a successful application, Miss Nisbet and a group of children: Neha Malik(P7), Zenaib Abaid and Dylan Briscoe (P7/6), Tiana Marenah (P6/5), Becca McKelvie (P3) and Rory Watson (P2b) represented the school at the Trades House of Glasgow Citizenship Award. This award is judged by the Trades House committee and is designed to recognise the excellent work being undertaken by schools in, for and with their communities. The children’s presentation was excellent, so much so they were invited to perform again at the awards ceremony on 3rd of June at the Trades House where we were presented with the award. The judges were impressed by the confidence of the children and the range of citizenship activities that go on in our school. The school was presented with a plaque which will take pride of place in the school.

Partnerships Award
Miss Hay, Calum Farrell and Nyla Sutherland from P2a were invited to go to the City Chambers to collect this award. We were awarded the Platinum Award for the second year in a row in recognition of all excellent Enterprise activities the children and staff have carried out this year. These range from arranging displays of knowledge for parents and other visitors to making and selling calendars at school events. We are very enterprising at Darnley!
